ABOUT

“‘The Big Four’ are the four largest veterans service organizations combined to work for the improvement of quality of life for military veterans and their families through legislative advocacy. Our combined voice represents more than 140,000 Hoosier veterans, more than any other individual entity within the State of Indiana.”

Veterans Service organizations

This website was made possible through tthe partnership and cooperation of Indian's four largest Veterans Service Organizations; The Big Four. Our respective Big Four VSOs, The American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the National Guard Association of Indiana (NGAI) work like unions for veterans.

In Abraham Lincoln's words, to care for those "Who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan." Our mission is to support our veterans, their families and our Indiana communities through a variety of means to include legislative advocacy, youth scholarships, VA benefits claims guidance and representation, financial aid and more.

Indiana consistently ranks lowest in the nation for quality of life for veterans. This takes into account taxation on military pension, taxation on active duty wages, programs for children of active service members and veterans, programs for homeless veterans, healthcare and many more areas of priority.

ONLY OUR VETERANS COLLECTIVE VOICE CAN IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR VETERANS IN THE HOOSIER STATE!
