“E-tabs have been a game-changer for us, boosting our monthly gaming revenue. These funds have allowed us to repair and renovate our facility and enhance our community's well-being. Today, we donate to support organizations like food pantries, homeless shelters, local schools, active military aid societies and veterans charities.”
- Bill Makowski, American Legion Post 572, Parma, OH
“Electronic pull tabs have been incredibly beneficial for the American Legion in Kentucky. The additional money raised from e-tabs has allowed us to invest in our posts and engage in our communities. Our posts are now more sustainable and ready to meet the needs of our veterans long into the future.”
- Rhonda Fields-Hayes, Past State Commander, Department of Kentucky
PlayIN for Charity is a group of veteran service organizations, Hoosier non-profits and charities, and local community leaders advocating for legislation to modernize charitable gaming in Indiana to support Hoosier communities.
E-tabs are a digital display of the traditional paper pull tab tickets commonly used in charitable gaming. The core concept of pull tabs remains the same, with e-tabs digitally replicating the familiar experience of revealing symbols or numbers to determine if a player has won a prize. E-tab compatible devices could range from a handheld tablet to a designated cabinet with a touchscreen display.
PlayIN for Charity will kick off its e-tabs legislative effort next month in Indianapolis. We will hold additional events across Indiana throughout the rest of the year to highlight how charitable gaming helps veterans, charities and local communities.
